Welcome Allete Shareowners!
This page is designed to help you calculate your adjusted cost basis for your liquidated Allete shares, using Netbasis, an easy-to-use, online cost basis tool
What is Netbasis?
With the acquisition of your Allete investment shares, you are required to report the correct adjusted cost basis and capital gain and losses. Netbasis is an easy-to-use application that allows you to quickly and accurately adjust the cost basis of your investment in seconds.
The calculation starts with the original cost basis is the initial price of your Allete shares when you acquired them, which is then adjusted for corporate actions, such as splits, spin-offs and mergers and even dividends reinvested (if you participated) that occurred during your holding period. Netbasis will generate a detailed adjusted cost basis report in seconds that also includes your gain/loss calculation.
